NOVEMBER 1979

This month featured "Sunburn," a movie that would be totally forgettable except for a brief glimpse of Farrah Fawcett in the nude, which happened at least 15 years before she got naked in Playboy. Then we had Oscar material, DeNiro's "The Deer Hunter," alongside such crap as "The Concorde: Airport '79." The highlight of the month however was arguably our re-run of Paul Newman's action packed "Slap Shot," a violent hockey movie that is still a kick today (and in fact is being considered for a remake).
