NOVEMBER 1977 Whenever there's a big hit movie, you can count on a bunch of pale imitators to come out of the woodwork. Such was the case with this month's "Claws," which of course was the formula from "Jaws" applied to the woods and a giant grizzly bear. This month featured four horror flicks in a row: "The Hills Have Eyes," a truly creepy zombie flick; "Kingdom of the Spiders," a nature-run-amok tale; "Carrie," the only truly good movie in the bunch (and still a classic); and the aforementioned "Claws." |
