On the 14th of this month, Tom Clifford and Mike Blakesley took over ownership of the Roxy. Our first show, "Rivals," was a western film that had heavy TV advertising, so we started off with a bang. Then, two weeks later came the Clint Eastwood smash "Every Which Way But Loose" which did even better business. We were certain that we were going to get rich. Soon, however, we realized that those big hits can be few and far between.
