JANUARY 1979

This month should truly go into the Hall of Shame. Not only did we play the disco-dreadful "Thank God It's Friday," but we followed it up with the Donnie & Marie Osmond snoozefest, "Goin' Coconuts." Right after that came a comedy starring a boxing kangaroo (Yes, it's true!), "Matilda." A few decent flicks gave some hope after that, but then at the end of the month it was right back into the dumper with the awful "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." The Beatles made a great album with that title; Peter Frampton made a lousy movie with it.
